Hey everyone,
Thanks to the people who were able to attend the meeting last Friday (including special guest John Palombo!). For people who didn’t make it, here’s a recap of what you missed:
JP gave us the word of the day: egregious- extraordinary in some BAD way, glaring, flagrant “It was an egregious insult”
Halong told us a few jokes including one about a ‘fresh’ strawberry…..
Prashant gave a really excellent speech on crowdsourcing – This was his third speech and he’s a front-runner to be our first CC award winner
Halong also led table topics and we had 100% participation telling stories about snow days.
Awesome work everyone, let’s keep this momentum going.
NEXT MEETING: FEB 11
Paul are you available to be the Toastmaster for this meeting? It’s pretty easy and Halong can help with any questions you have.
Halong volunteered to do a ‘2 minute talk’
Yunling will be giving her speech
Sara, if you can make it you can evaluate YL’s speech
Changheng, can you work on a ‘word of the day’ and maybe a topic for table-topics?
Angiah, maybe you can get a few jokes together?
Tom C., I accidentally left you on this email, but feel free to stop by and catch the toastmasters fever – It’s spreading like wild-fire and the only cure is more public speaking!
-Andy
